The framework
Applied AI work is a combination of technical understanding and professional judgement. The following skill areas can be used to evaluate a curriculum or plan a transition:
- Understand: explain AI concepts, limits, inputs, outputs, and uncertainty.
- Frame: connect a real problem to a measurable outcome.
- Design: map the workflow, roles, decisions, and operating constraints.
- Govern: identify risks, controls, evidence, and review responsibilities.
- Communicate: present a recommendation and defend trade-offs.
How to use it
A strong learning plan moves from explanation to application. For each skill, create one bounded artefact and one short explanation of what you decided, why you decided it, and what remains uncertain.
