About this lab
Good AI product work starts with the problem, then carries through to market.
AI product management is the practice of turning uncertain AI capabilities into useful, testable product decisions. It connects user problems, business value, model behavior, evaluation, safeguards, launch planning, and the feedback needed to decide what should happen next.
This lab focuses on the decisions around an AI feature, not on training models or writing production software. You learn to frame the problem, define success, test quality and risk, communicate tradeoffs, and build evidence that a product team can use.
AI features introduce uncertainty into ordinary product work: outputs vary, quality needs evaluation, user trust has to be earned, and the route from launch to repeat value is rarely obvious. Product decisions need evidence, clear tradeoffs, and practical safeguards.
Your first brief is an AI feature request with an enthusiastic sponsor, limited evidence, and competing user needs. You turn it into a focused product brief, define how quality will be evaluated, and make a recommendation the team can challenge.
The curriculum
Turn product judgment into evidence

Self-paced: typical completion varies by lab and starting point. See the study commitment below for the expected range.
